Barnett Hill welcomes new Head Chef, Lee Young
We are thrilled to welcome our new Head Chef, Lee Young, to the team at Barnett Hill!
Lee brings more than 13 years’ experience to his role, having worked with an array of highly regarded restaurants including a selection of Michelin starred establishments. Lee started his career aged 16 when he worked part time in a kitchen whilst studying at college. Since then Lee has gone on to work in a range of award winning restaurants, including Heston Blumenthal’s Michelin starred pub, the Hinds Head in Bray.
We spoke to Lee about his upcoming new challenge: ‘Barnett Hill is a fantastic opportunity for me to bring a unique and innovative twist to the dishes, in a sophisticated environment. My vision for Barnett Hill is to create a destination restaurant offering guests a unique dining experience, with delicious food created using fresh, local and seasonal produce, complimented by impeccable service and an exclusive ambiance of the historically charming hotel. I look forward to leading the team forward!’
Tim Hall, General Manger at Barnett Hill is looking forward to welcoming Lee to the team: ‘I am thrilled to announce Lee as our new Head Chef. His extensive experience and genuine passion for food is impressive and he will be a credit to Barnett Hill’.
In his role as Head Chef at Barnett Hill, Lee will oversee all culinary aspects of the hotels various food and beverage offerings which include the Oak Room restaurant and bar.
