Hindhead Commons and the Devil’s Punch Bowl are a remarkable landscape. The common is a significant habitat for heathland loving animals & birds whilst the huge natural basin is a true wilderness. The 5km well sign-posted route takes in both Gibbet Hill and The Temple of the Four Winds, each with superb views - on a clear day you'll glimpse the London skyline. See The flagship garden of the RHS & one of the world's greatest gardens sparkle and dazzle. Wander the enchanting displays through the trail around the garden to see some of Wisley’s iconic sights in a new light. Venture through Seven Acres, the Rock Garden and Wisteria Walk, as well as other garden areas and marvel at the magnificent trees and shrubs bathed in a spectrum of light. This year, the garden will glow even brighter with more lights, fire candles and fountain displays, as well as the return of a spectacular horticultural display inside the Glasshouse. Visit beautiful Painshill for a roarsome winter walk. After the very well received Snowfari in 2020, this year Painshill have created a landscape full of dinosaurs – Snowsaurus! The magical winter Snowsaurus trail will see visitors following in some enormous footsteps as they track down spectacular dinosaurs roaming the grounds. Posted from the summer, everybody – whether driving a “Classic” or not – is welcome to take part at what will probably br the largest New Year’s Day Classic Vehicle Gathering in the UK. With over 1,000 vehicles expected, live music and a winter barbeque, there will be something for everybody amongst the vast and diverse displays of classics all descending on Brooklands to kick-start 2022 in style. Wrap up warm and fish for your supper! With a choice of picturesque lakes and conditions suitable for both novice & more experienced fishermen the Albury Estate is a perfect spot to while away a peaceful few hours fly fishing. The lakes are fed by several springs as well as the Tillingbourne River and are well stocked with rainbow trout from the estate fish farm. Full instruction and tackle is available if you are a beginner and looking to try a new sport. Escape rooms are a wonderful rainy (or chilly!) activity, especially when you have a couple of teens in tow. The whole family need to work together in the fully immersive rooms (there are two different rooms to chose from) to solve the puzzles. On arrival the host will present the story of the room before you enter the themed room and have 1 hour to solve the challenge laid out. There will be a little bit of searching, a lot of thinking and plenty of teamwork required.
