Ranevskaya returns following a five-year absence to discover her estate, including her beloved cherry orchard, is to be auctioned off to pay debts accrued by the family in Chekhov’s theatrical masterpiece. Francesca Annis stars as Ranevskaya, Ian McKellen as Firs, Martin Shaw as Lopakhin, Jenny Seagrove as Gaev and Robert Daws as Pischick. Staged in a new format never seen before at the Theatre Royal Windsor, the production includes a limited number of on-stage seats, which will be made available close to performances dates, giving an exclusive opportunity to experience world-class theatre up-close and personal.

Wander the enchanting displays with a glass of mulled wine in hand through the trail and around the garden to see many of Wisley’s iconic sights in a brand new light. Venture through Seven Acres, the Rock Garden and Wisteria Walk, as well as a plethora of other areas of the garden and marvel at the magnificent trees and shrubs bathed in a spectrum of light. Brooklands has a host of events planned for the Autumn including Italian Car Day on Sunday, 10th October which sees a plethora of vehicles from Lamborghini, Maserati, Ferrari, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Abarth. Italian car owners are welcome to bring theirs to join in with the fun. The Mercedes-Benz World circuit will see a line-up of cars being demonstrated at lunchtime, while during the afternoon Test Hill will be running, pitting a line-up of cars against the challenge of the hill. Over half term there are ‘Come Fly with Us’ family workshops, activities & tours where younger pilots can get their wings gliding in pedal planes & everyone can go supersonic onboard the Concorde Experience. The final Autumn racing weekend - expect a collection of excellent novice chasers lining up for the opening race on Friday afternoon, which was won last year by Chantry House who later went on to success at the Cheltenham and Aintree Festivals. Also on the Friday is a valuable Introductory hurdle that has been won by some high-class novice hurdlers in recent times, including the subsequent Grade 1 winner Metier last year. Saturday is headlined by two Grade 2 contests over mid-range trips. Both races have a rich history of attracting some of the biggest names in the sport, none more so than the 1965 Chase which in 2019 saw an epic duel between Altior and Cyrname. Workshops are held in a rural studio 51 weeks of the year - you select the day that suits and the studio will confirm if it's convenient. You will be taught a selection of techniques using ‘art clay silver’ which enables you to get started straight away with making your very own designer pieces. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve on your very first go with the guidance of a senior qualified instructor. Visit Lapland UK to bring alive the magic of Father Christmas. Each child will receive a personalised letter inviting them to Lapland and tours last for 3 - 4 hours, starting with a 90 minute immersive theatre performance about the trip to the toy factory where the children will help to make toys for children around the world. There is a visit to Mother Christmas’ Kitchen to listen to stories and decorate fresh gingerbread before heading to the Elven Village where you can go ice skating.
