Meet Tony Parkin

Confident and charismatic, Tony Parkin joined the team of the much-loved Great Fosters Estate in 2019, as Head Chef of the then Tudor Room. Working with the new owners of the Estate, Tony oversaw the development of not only the cuisine, but the entire experience in The Tudor Room with his signature flair. This led to both the rebranding of the dining room to ‘Tony Parkin at The Tudor Room’ and the acquisition of a Michelin star, in a record-breaking 4 months.


Tony’s journey to The Great Fosters Estate began with an apprenticeship under John Campbell during his tenure at The Vineyard at Stockcross. With this legendary pedigree, Tony headed to the continent to hone his craft, spending several years in Copenhagen working at Kommendaten and Noma.

Reimagining The Tudor Room

On returning to the UK, Tony worked in the Michelin-starred kitchens of Northcote, Lancashire, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, London and Restaurant Adam Simmonds at Danesfield House, Marlow. Tony also held the role of private chef for Lord & Lady Bamford, of the Bamford and Daylesford brands, cooking and travelling with them, before joining us.


This rich tapestry of experiences led him to take up his role as Head Chef at The Tudor Room in 2019. Along with achieving the Michelin star in record time, Tony has retained the star in the 2021 guide. He was also featured in Series 16 of the Great British Menu, where Tony competed in the London and South East heat.

All menus are samples and are indicative of what to expect on your gastronomic journey with us. Chef Parkin updates the menus daily to celebrate the freshest seasonal produce. Because Tony and his team serve a degustation menu in The Tudor Room, it can be difficult to cater to all dietary requirements without notice. The Wine Room, our newly created intimate private dining space adjacent to The Estate Grill is the perfect spot to mark a special occasion - and we have just the thing to make it extra special.


Tony Parkin, our Michelin-starred chef of Tony Parkin at The Tudor Room has created a Chef's Table concept in The Wine Room for groups of 4 - 6 to enjoy. Priced at £160 per person, the tasting journey is our most exceptional with optional wine pairing (please note, that a minimum spend of £800 for your Chef's Table experience applies).
