The most recent member of the AHC family, Great Fosters is one of our flagship properties, being the recipient of a multi-million pound refurbishment and several extensions since we acquired the property in 2019.
The hotel, originally with 42 bedrooms is heading to 56, and includes our new spa concept, Utopia Retreat, along with our Michelin-starred restaurant, Tony Parkin at The Tudor Room, and our 2-AA rosette Estate Grill, which also oversees afternoon tea, terrace and cocktail bar dining, room service and our very large wedding, conference and banqueting operations.
We’re looking for a talented, passionate and energetic Chef de Partie to join our team of 29, led by Head Chef Ondrej Knedla, in the 2-AA rosette Estate Grill kitchen.
Day to day, you can expect to be heading up sections serving our beautiful 45-cover restaurant, the Estate Grill, along with our famed afternoon teas, room service, terrace dining in the summer months and of course, our very busy conference & banqueting operation, run from a satellite kitchen.
Shifts will cover weekends, and work across breakfast/lunch, lunch/dinner or dinner depending on your rota, working 48 hours per week.
The salary on offer is £28,000 per annum (£26,000 + £2,000 per annum guaranteed service charge payment paid quarterly).
We’re looking for a seasoned Chef de Partie, used to working in busy country house hotels. It’s important that you’re experienced working with fresh, seasonal produce, able to create new dishes frequently and adapt to daily menu changes, working with the fresh ingredients available.
You could however, be a very strong Commis Chef looking for the opportunity to step up into a very busy, exciting Kitchen in an internationally recognised property of note.
We work to a 2-AA rosette standard at the Grill, so that would be ideal in your background but equally, a passion for seasonal produce, with experience working in fine establishments that may not be rated is equally encouraged.
Staff accommodation is available with this role, and along with your salary & guaranteed service charge payment, an additional end of financial year service charge bonus is payable too.
Holidays start at 28 days including bank holidays and increase up to 33 days with length of service, plus your birthday off paid too, after year 1.
We’ll mark some special milestones with a range of treats too, from afternoon tea to a night away, depending on your length of service.
Naturally, we’ll provide you with Chef Whites and parking is free on site.
