Alexander House has long been an address of note, entertaining many dignitaries over the years at many a soiree. From the Percy & Mary Shelley years (the acclaimed poet and author respectively) to present day, Alexander House is certainly the place to be for an elegant dinner party or a extraordinary event. In the Main House, our drawing rooms can play host to up to 40 guests for all manner of occasions, with menu options from our 3 and 2 rosette restaurants. Meanwhile, in our dedicated event space, the 'Shelley Suite', bigger bashes for up to 130 guests can be catered for as you desire. We really do have all manner of spaces for private dining and parties!

The Shelley & Wakehurst Suites
Perfect for up to 130 guests
Our two largest event spaces are purpose-built for entertaining. With a private entrance, garden, bathrooms and bar, you will certainly feel like masters of the manor! The Shelley Suite, the largest space, connects with the adjacent Wakehurst Suite to provide room for up to 130 guests to eat, drink and make merry.
